2009-Present
- Designed and developed web services supporting the XCA and XDR interfaces/standards for transmitting documents and meta data between healthcare systems. The project required a good understanding of how SOAP works with WCF so that the unusual interface requirements of XCA and XDR could be satisfied.
- Designed and developed a scan tool allowing the user to scan documents into the medical system. The scan tool required implementation of basic image manipulation functions such as brightness & contrast, rotating, cropping, resizing, etc. which were all custom-implemented (not supported by third party libraries).
- Provide full code documentation and at least 75% unit testing for both projects.
- Both projects were put through peer code reviews which resulted in a very low defect counts.
- Studied (in detail) the Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) and underlying HL7 V3 standard.
- Co-authored the Unstructured Documents draft standard specification for CDA.
- Certified by HL7 as a CDA Specialist.
- Fluent in XPath-based XML validation, specifically Schematron.
- Manage the server infrastructure of the organization, including Windows-based servers, Linux-based servers, Exchange, JIRA, Confluence, Subversion, etc.

- Proposed and evaluated the use of several development tools which have helped speed the development of the project drastically.
